FAQ
How do I get started?
Reaching out is the hardest part when looking for personal support or considering making a change. Once you make an enquiry we will schedule an initial consultation. We will talk about you, your life, we will reflect together on the issues that are troubling you. I’ll tell you about the type of therapy I do and you can ask me any questions you may have. If we feel like we would be a good fit to work together, we will plan for therapy and find a regular time to meet, if possible.
(I offer a 50% discount on the initial consultation).
How often do we meet?
You can decide how often you want to have sessions. I typically meet with clients weekly or once every two weeks. We can always adjust the frequency based on your needs and my availability.
Are sessions online or in person?
I work 100% online, allowing you to meet with me from the comfort of your home or wherever you might find yourself in the world.
What is your cancellation policy?
My cancellation policy is 48 hours. Cancellations and no-shows will be charged with the full session fee.
What is IFS therapy?
‘’Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach to psychotherapy that identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities or families within each person’s mental system. These sub-personalities consist of wounded parts and painful emotions such as anger and shame, and parts that try to control and protect the person from the pain of the wounded parts. The sub-personalities are often in conflict with each other and with one’s core Self, a concept that describes the confident, compassionate, whole person that is at the core of every individual. IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring mental balance and harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self.’’
